Whether you’re a large technology company trying to drive innovation, a start-up wondering how to get more paying customers, or a small non-profit determining how to expand your services, you all reach the same question at some point in your journey:

"What should we do next?"

I’m here to help you figure it out. I specialize in driving exploratory research and delivering customer insights to inform product development, concept creation, and strategy.

I’m also an anthropologist who is inspired by learning new things and empowering others to be their “best selves.”

These two core motivations informed my approach to my work as a User Experience Researcher and Research Manager at Microsoft from 2000 - 2014. Through driving exploratory research, generating insights and crafting product design recommendations together with my engineering team members, we put people's needs at the center of our design process.

Over the last ten years running my own exploratory research business, these motivations have also shaped my work with clients and colleagues to answer questions like:

  • How do generative AI startup founders think about the value of what they’re building?

  • What is the best methodological approach to study data analysts in the field?

  • What are business owners’ worldviews on the process of adding product taxation to their online sales?

  • How do humans respond to drones in their own environments, and why that way?

  • How do developers use events pages to learn about and take action on their integrations and deployments?

  • Why is emotion important in teamwork, and what role does it play?

  • What shapes young couples' investment philosophies?

  • What problems do education IT pros encounter in deploying cloud solutions?

  • How should we design the physical space astronauts will occupy for deep space missions to support the most cohesive, sustainable culture for 1000+ day missions?

I’ve gotten to continually learn, grow and support teams in developing experiences that empower people. Reach out to learn about how we might work together!
